Sunday Long Run

I had a great long run this afternoon.  The weather was awesome (42 degrees) and the sun was shining down on me.  I ran 9.34 miles with a pace of 9:34/mile.  That's kinda interesting when you look at that 9.34@9:34.  My legs felt great.  I have been having a little trouble with my lower left leg lately.  I think I have a tendon issue on the inside of the lower leg and foot.  I have been doing some isolated strength exercises (mainly ankle and foot work) along with my regluar strength training.  I still continue to do Coach Jay Johnson's warm-up and cool-down followed by yoga.  I finished the week with 25 miles of running.

Running Intervals

I ran intervals for the first time in my base training yesterday.  It was one of the toughest things I've done in training so far.  My plan was to run 5x3minute intervals with 2 minute rests.  The first interval beat the hell out of me so I decided to run 2 minute intervals following my first one.  Overall I feel I need more patients and I know I will get a lot stronger through my training.  By the way, I have not posted in a while due to taking a week off due to some lower leg pain.  I will be training these intervals for the next month.  I will be strong my the end.
