Tempo Run by sscharer at Garmin Connect - Splits

Ran my second tempo for the week. This run was a little tough. I started my run off with sore calves and couldn't really step up my speed. I did run with my heart rate monitor and stayed within my preset range so the run overall a good run. I did step up my tempos this week I added another 1,000 M on to my routine. I am not running 5 x 1,000 M at my heart rate tempo speed. I did link my splits to the page. Feel free to comment if you wish. Thanks. Shane

I ran the past couple of days.  Sunday 10/10 I had a really hard time running my 25 minute recovery run.  I felt really sluggish.  I did go up to one of the local schools and video taped myself running to watch my forum with the new mid-foot technique I've been trying to perfect.  I am still noticing that my calves are sore.  Hopefully my body will get use to this technique very soon.  I also ran today 10/11.  I did one of my best miles since my injury (7:40) according to my Garmin.  I ran the whole 25 minutes.  I'm slowly getting there.  I will hopefully be doing some races in 2011.

Back to the roads of sorts.....

I finally made it back to pavement running.  I ran around Des Moines, IA Gray's Lake park today!  I felt so good to get off the treadmill.  I had a great 25 minute run.  I logged just over 3 miles according to my Garmin.  My legs felt great and my blister on my right foot did not act-up at all.  I haven't felt this good in a long time.  I plan on getting back to Gray's Lake on Friday.  Thanks for listening :)
